What Is the Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga Sessions?

The Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga Sessions is the nationally recognised professional qualification for anyone who wants to teach yoga — from gym floors and wellness studios to community classes and private sessions.

Yoga is no longer a niche interest. It's a mainstream wellness practice with millions of regular participants across the UK — and the number of people who want to learn continues to grow. But teaching yoga well requires far more than a personal practice. It requires the technical knowledge to understand how postures work, the coaching skills to communicate them clearly, the ability to plan and adapt sessions for different bodies and abilities, and the professional grounding to do it safely and responsibly.

This Diploma develops all of that. Delivered through a blended model of six structured in-person training days and online learning and assessment, it gives you the knowledge, practical skills and recognised credential to teach yoga professionally — at whatever level and in whatever setting you choose.

Use effective cueing, demonstration and communication skills to guide participants safely and engagingly through a session

Apply safe practice principles — knowing when to modify, when to refer on and how to manage a safe, inclusive yoga environment

Understand the professional context of yoga teaching in the UK — including scope of practice, ethics and your responsibilities as a qualified instructor

How Is the Level 3 Yoga Diploma Assessed?
